Menampilkan desain ramping dengan proyeksi minimal, Mount Adaptor Nikon FTZ II menawarkan fungsi yang sama dengan FTZ sebelumnya tetapi dengan desain yang lebih ramping. Dengan ukuran keseluruhan yang lebih kecil untuk memberikan kenyamanan lebih saat memotret.
FTZ II memungkinkan penggunaan hampir semua lensa F-mount pada bodi kamera mirrorless Z-mount. Meskipun kompatibel dengan sekitar 360 lensa F-mount yang berbeda, adaptor lebih cocok untuk digunakan dengan lensa tipe D, E, dan G AF-S dan AF-P, di mana adaptor ini akan mempertahankan kemampuan fokus otomatis dan eksposur otomatis untuk penggunaan lensa DSLR pada bodi mirrorless. Adaptor dibuat dari paduan magnesium dan tahan terhadap cuaca.
